So different in so many ways. Huff has some HC growing to do, but we could be the 'big' program to give him a shot and he falls in love with VT? This is still a great place, great job, great game atmosphere and a destination position if you love a smaller town. I have no idea if Charles or Whit are interested at all. Quotes on recruiting are quite a bit different.

Huff: "recruiting is something you've got to do everyday. Either you control it or it controls you....it's like brushing your teeth, there is time slotted in our day where we talk about, communicate, address, plan, adjust, it's every day...on days where we don't do any football, we recruit..it's the lifeline of your program. (247 interview)

Fu: "I'm not comfortable with where it's going...I'm not sure I have the solutions. I hate to be the guy that just complains, but I'm not comfortable with it at all...I do diminish the weight of recruiting rankings, quite honestly and I don't make apologies about it," (Teel interview on today's recruiting)

I realize some might be sick of the Huff talk and other guys are certainly a good option but I think he's the bigger gamble, bigger upside. His demeanor, discipline, and leadership is impressive. I'm not suggesting we go 10-2 next year with him, but the boost of energy and excitement would be good for recruiting and $$ IMO...and his future is bright wherever he ends up. I think Fu might be a decent coach, but stubborn and doesn't love it enough to run a big program. He does not inspire IMO and is not a fan of the things that help... like media interaction, fund raiser interaction etc. Parents want to send their young men to someone with a positive, upbeat demeanor but who will discipline as needed....at least I would. Huff understands this job requires ALL IN.
